Lilia Facts Part 21: Bats, the sun and courtesy name "Vanrouge"

While it has not been officially stated why out of all of Maleficent’s goons from the animated movie Lilia seems to have been based upon a bat, there is a fan theory that it is wordplay:

The Japanese-language word for bat, コウモリ (koumori) is similar in pronunciation to the word 子守 (komori), which is similar to “babysitting.”

It is also similar to the word for cloudy (kumori), and Lilia is known to prefer cloudy weather.

He describes himself as ��sunlight-averse,” saying that sunlight wreaks havoc on his skin, makes him dizzy and lightheaded if he spends too long in it and he never has much energy on clear days.

This is why he had never swam in the ocean before: “There's nothing to block sunlight underwater. I don't do well in the sun, so it's hard to stay out in it for long.” Afterwards he observes “it's good to know there are still things in this world to surprise and delight me…”

He comments on the sun draining him during a PE class, but seems to recover when it becomes cloudy.

He explains that he is not at his best when the weather is perfect, but he is invincible at night.

Lilia says, "I hear a lot of people talk about jumping out of bed to throw open the curtains and bathe in the morning sunlight, but if I did that it'd ruin my whole day.

During Halloween Grim recognizes Lilia as “the guy from Diasomnia who keeps poppin' up places upside-down!,” and that does seem to be something that he does fairly often.

Sebek says that he knew that Lilia would be an authority on bats, but we do not learn why it is that Sebek had this impression of him.

He is often seen accompanied by bats in his dream, and it is possible that he would appear for battles via clouds of bats in his youth.

Two lines in the original game where Leona refers to Lilia as an old man were later changed in the rerun to Leona calling him a "damn bat," instead 🦇

In Book 7 we learn that Lilia’s last name, Vanrouge, is a courtesy name.

While it can be difficult to tell how the Land of Briar is using the tradition, it is possible that he named himself upon reaching adulthood.

Unfortunately, you felt a sneeze tickling in your nose which meant you had to prepare for the full-body pain that inevitably followed.

In a tiny, very nasally voice you let out, “Ow…”, which alerted your bat-eared husband Motoya to come sliding into the open bedroom door.

“You rang?”

He was balancing your morning dose of meds, a small bowl of fruits, and tea securely on a tray.

After extending the feet of the little breakfast table, he jogged around the bed to join you again, gently pulling your soft, overly warm body to him and using the fork to raise a slice of banana to your mouth. You shook your head.

“Not hungry.”

“You have to eat, my queen.”, he said loftily but when that didn’t help, he switched gears.

As he described loops and waves through the air, your husband said, “Heeere comes the train! Choo choooo, open up~”

You remained unimpressed.

“What kind of train drives in a loop, babe?”, you croaked.

That made him halt and think. Then he took the routine from the top, “Here comes the out-of-control rollercoaster caaart.”

You laughed. It hurt.

idk if the souleater fandom is alive or ever was alive on here BUT i have the best idea for a haikyuu! x souleater crossover. i was literally up late last night thinking about the meister x weapon dynamics of all the haikyuu duos and what weapons they would be.

kageyama and hinata - i had to think about this one a lot, but the only thing that made sense to me was meister! kageyama and weapon! hinata. i feel like hinata would be something silly and explosive like a flame thrower or a grenade launcher or like a bazooka lol. ORRR completely different idea, i feel like he could be a bow and arrow, with kageyamas insane aim.

osamu, atsumu and suna - if i were to ever write a story for this au, i would definitely do meister! reader with both the twins as your weapons. just for the sake of right now though i think meister! suna with the twins as a double sided buster sword would be perfect. i think the dynamic fits really well and i can picture the twins bickering as weapons kind of like patty and liz, with suna being unimpressed in the middle of them.

oikawa and iwaizumi - i think it’s pretty obvious that it’s meister! oikawa and weapon! iwaizumi. i feel like most setters are meister coded because they “manipulate” the other players kind of like a meister can manipulate their weapon. i feel like iwaizumi would be a morningstar or something spiky like that. maybe he would just be a bat with some nails sticking out lol.

matsukawa and hanamaki - i feel like a lot of people are going to disagree with me here, but meister! hanamaki and weapon! matsukawa really make sense to me. i can see matsukawa being a big sniper rifle tbh.

bokuto and akaashi - people might disagree with me on this one too, but i feel like despite what i said earlier about setters manipulating other players, akaashi kind of puts himself where’s he’s needed, if that makes sense. i feel like their dynamic is similar to blackstar and tsubaki’s, with akaashi just supporting bokuto from beside him. i feel like akaashi would be a blade of some kind, maybe like this one.

kuroo and kenma- i feel like this one is pretty obvious too. meister! kenma and weapon! kuroo is all i can make sense of, because kenma seems more tactical and kuroo more bold. i feel like kuroo would be a big scythe like soul is. honestly the maka x soul dynamic kind of fits for them.

sakusa and komori - i definitely see meister! komori and weapon! sakusa. i’m kind of stuck on what kind of weapon sakusa would be though. maybe like a battle axe? something big and strong. or maybe just a large sword? idk idk.

i know this is all really niche and will probably get no traction but i had to get it out of my head. if just ONE person gets this or has their own take on this i will be happy☺️

The 3 young boys played within the hallways of the dark castle. “I found you!” Cheered a spunky red headed boy, his vibrant green eyes gleamed as he won the game finding both of his brothers during their game of hide and seek. “No fair, you had your eyes open!” The purple haired boy cried out. “No he didn’t, I was watching him.” The other light redheaded boy defended. “Whatever you both suck at this game regardless, you both kept giggling, let’s go catch bats” he told his brothers, they both agreed and off they went.

“Eh..? Who’s that.?” The boys stopped in their tracks and noticed a beautiful young girl who looked about the same age as them with locks of platinum blonde hair on the ground in the middle of the courtyard. The redheaded boy approached but his two brothers quickly held him back. “No Ayato don’t go near her, she might be a trap.” Laito expressed. “Do you smell that?” Kanato asked, all three of them sniffed the air. “She doesn’t smell like a vampire…what is she?” He asked again. A sudden commotion was heard causing all 3 boys to turn around, there stood Reiji and Shu along side their mother Beatrix, she pointed in the direction of the girl to the guards.

“Hey Reiji what’s going on??” Ayato ran up to Reiji. “I’m unsure, however we will be taking her inside the castle to question her.” He stated. “That’s so stupid, she’s a human probably from the village.” Shu commented. “If that’s the case we should rid ourselves of her as soon as possible” Reiji remarked back, the tension between these two brothers was intense.

The young girl was taken inside the castle’s infirmary, her wounds were being treated. The Vampire King Karl Heinz came to see her, a smirk on his face as he cupped her cheek. “Eve, my sons are in your hands.” He whispered to the girl, kissed her forehead then walked out the room. “Karl, who’s the little girl? Don’t tell me she’s one of your illegitimate children” Cordelia, Karl’s first wife questioned. “No she’s not my child, she’s here for my sons” he told her. “A plaything for my sons?! I will not allow that, I don’t want a filthy low born human scum next to my perfect Ayato, he will be the leader after you he needs a better comrade” she stated, Karl did not say a word he simply grabbed his wife’s face and kissed her lips, sending her into a submissive trance.

The young girl woke up from her slumber to see a bright red headed boy with vibrant green eyes starring down at her. “Who are you?? Are you a spy??” He said, crawling on top of her. “Ow! Hey, get off of me!” She yelled out. “No! Not until you tell me who you are and what you’re doing here!” He shouted back at her. “My name is Yui Komori, I don’t even know where I am, I just got lost and ended up in a forest, who are you??” She explained herself then asked him. “My name is Ayato, you’re in my house” Ayato stated then got off of her. Yui tried getting up but her wounds hurt very badly and prevented her from fully getting off the bed. “You’re injured pretty badly, everytime I get hurt I heal very fast but that’s because I’m the best” he said to her, this caused her to laugh a bit. “Say Ayato, are your parents home? I have to go home to my father.” She expressed. “I don’t know , I can look around and ask” he tells her, and then leaves the front door to search.

“Are you from the village below?” A blonde haired boy asked, he looked a bit older than Ayato and his attire was that of a prince. Yui shook her head, “I don’t think I am, I’m not entirely sure though” she said to him honestly. “I..I have a friend who lives in that village, maybe he might know something about a missing village girl..you shouldn’t stay here we’re not from the same worlds.” He hesitated as he spoke. “I’m not sure I am from your friend’s village I grew up in a church..why are we from different worlds?” she explained, then asked. “It doesn’t matter now..I’m Shu, what’s your name?” He asked, Yui told him her name, and the two had a brief conversation about Ayato, she found out they were half siblings and that 6 young boys lived here in total. “Ayato said he would look for your parents to discuss a possible way of contacting my father so that I can go home.” She expressed. “You won’t survive here, mortal.” A young boy with raven hair and glasses proclaimed. “Reiji..don’t say those things” Shu replied back at this. “I’m simply stating the truth, just put a pillow over her head and be done with it” he said, taking a pillow. “Hey Yui, you’re going to have to run, go find Ayato he will help you” Shu stated, his voice was somewhat shaky but serious. Yui tried her best to get up, and make a run for it adrenaline got to her.

The beautiful young girl ran though the hallways of the dark castle and bumped into a boy, with white snow hair and blood red eyes. “Please help me!” She cried to him. “Why would I help you..? I can’t help anyone..get away from me you wreak” he pushed her down. “I’m not your savior” he said. But she got up again and pleaded again, he pushed her down again. “Get away from me!” He shouted. “Subaru…my love what’s wrong?” A voice called out, almost as a ghostly whisper. A woman appeared behind Subaru, she was absolutely stunning, she looked just like Subaru. “Who’s this little girl?” She asked her son. “I don’t know” he replied back. “My name is Yui, I don’t know how I got here, I just got lost in the forest, I want to go home to my father!” Yui cried out. “You must be another bastard from my filthy husband! Subaru kill her! I do not want to bear witness to her, she’s an abomination just like you!” She hysterically screamed. Yui got up before Subaru could do anything or say anything and ran away, more and more into the confusing castle, “please god…this must be a nightmare..!” She cried to herself as she ran. She tried looking for an exit or for Ayato or Shu to help her, instead she was face to face with a woman who had long purple hair, a beautiful gothic black dress and eyes like Ayato’s. And in that moment Yui froze she couldn’t move..her heart beat was loud and it felt painful for her, she passed out.

Waking up, Yui found herself in her room back at the church. She ran to her father, Seiji who was a priest and hugged him tightly, “father I had a nightmare…” she began to tell her father but little did she know her nightmare was just a glimpse of her future..

Hello! If it's not too much, could you write reactions for the Sakamakis to a reader who is an ex-vampire hunter? I'm hoping for them to be surprised cuz despite residing with vampires the reader never really gone out of their way to hurt them.

Shū (Ririe):

🏹  Shū wouldn’t be as interested in the human on first meet. 

🏹  He would, however, be interested in why most of their files were blanked out or just entirely inaccessible. 

🏹  It would strike him the wrong way, considering how perceptive Shū is. 

🏹  He isn’t stupid, he’d do some external research, much to his own dismay, on a much more thorough background check. 

🏹  If he continuously came up with nothing, he’d be instantly suspicious and force the others to at least use some common sense and watch out. 

🏹  Shū doesn’t do anything for no reason, everything he does has purpose, whether he comes to realize it himself or not, others have. 

🏹  So his warnings are never taken with a grain of salt. 

🏹  Either way, if by physical looks, the reader is his type, he’d play around with them for the meantime. 

🏹  But wouldn’t do anything extraordinary, considering how he still has his walls up. 

🏹  But once the curtain is revealed and dropped, he would grateful to listen to his gut instincts. After all, they’re never wrong. 

🏹  Shū would be curious as to why they abandoned their post so quickly, so they’d keep everything the Bride said in mind. Almost as if he was racking up scores, trying to point out a flaw in their story. 

🏹  And best believe he will use it against them. 

🏹  However, Shū would enjoy hearing stories about the Prospective Bride’s experiences as a vampire hunter, finding their tales of danger and survival fascinating.

🏹  Considering his past with Edgar, he’s all about learning and gathering information. 

🏹  He might use the opportunity to subtly test their skills, perhaps playfully challenging them to a mock battle to see if they’ve still got their hunter instincts.

🏹  That is, in a rare occasion, he takes more interest in them as an individual and enjoys their company. 

🏹  Despite his lazy demeanor, Shū would secretly admire the Bride’s strength. 

🏹  He out of everyone knows the hardships that come with constantly having to protect yourself from danger, so he’d find some common ground with potential adversaries. 

Reiji:

🏹  Considering that he’s canonically worked with vampire hunters

🏹  (Specifically Yui’s adoptive father— Seiji Komori,) 

🏹  He’d have some ideas on their movements and how reader would try to portray themselves.

🏹  Him and Shū would be the major individuals who’d quickly figure it out. 

🏹  However it would take a few instances until he gets to the point of even thinking that their current Sacrificial Bride was a vampire hunter. 

🏹  Reiji would, along with Shū, have some documents on their Prospective Bride’s background prior to the house. 

🏹  When coming up with nothing, or at least nothing of sustenance at the start, he would find it peculiar, but let time do its thing as he rides it out. 

🏹  When he finds out that they’re an ex-vampire hunter, he’d watch his step. 

🏹  Obviously, Reiji is cautious. 

🏹  He knows better than to assume someone’s ability right off the bat. 

🏹  After all, assuming one is weak is how you easily get undermined. Reiji is much smarter than that, so he’d keep it in mind for future reference. 

🏹  He, along with the others, would question the mortal.

🏹  Asking about their post, what they specialized in, when they stopped, etc. You know, the full works. 

🏹  He’d have some interest towards them, considering how at any given moment they could snap and attempt an assassination. 

🏹  For someone with such lethality, why do they stay put and allow themselves to play house? 

🏹  Reader’s chances of becoming more of a test subject have significantly heightened. 

🏹  Would he be interested in them beyond their past? Depends on their character and how they’d portray themselves thus far. 

🏹  Of course, having an ex-vampire in the house can be considered to be a big deal, but Reiji is very confident and sure in his skills that if they were to attack, he’d be able to shut it down effectively. 

Laito:

🏹  He wouldn’t think anything of the Prospective Bride at the start. 

🏹  He’d think that they were the same as everyone else who has entered in the mansion of madness. 

🏹  If the mortal looked like his type from the get go, then maybe Laito would concern himself with them. 

🏹  If not, then he’d simply use them as nourishment. That’s it. 

🏹  He would, however, watch reader like a hawk. 

🏹  Most don’t realize it, but Laito seemingly always is there. Either in small figments, or just in passing, he’s there. 

🏹  So when analyzing this mystery mortal, and seeing how they conduct themselves on a day to day basis, he might come to some conclusions of his own.

🏹  He’s dealt with some vampire hunters, even out ran some with Ayato after a night out in the town gone wrong. 

🏹  It was safe to say that they both got a strict talking to by Reiji after almost blowing their cover. 

🏹  A day later, Shū would get a call from their father and the church about this. Making him loathe the meeting that came. 

🏹  So, as a result, Laito isn’t entirely oblivious. But, when he finds out, the tables will turn. 

🏹  It’s canon, and very implied, that Laito longs to be killed. 

🏹  Call it passive suicidal thoughts, as he doesn’t do everything to seek it out like Subaru or Azusa. 

🏹  But with this opportunity, sparks chances to provoke and essentially wear the Bride down in hopes of them getting sick and tired of Laito’s antics and killing him. 

🏹  Everything he will do from here on out is just tease and pure baiting. 

🏹  He will either make reader’s life a living hell, or become insufferable. That’s all depending on how the Bride will treat him. 

🏹  Either way, one fact is true. He’s determined on changing that ‘ex’ to ‘active’ vampire hunter. 

🏹  He’d find this Bride instantly interesting due to their past post, and would want to play around with them. 

🏹  Torture, if he doesn’t get his way is 100% on the table with him. 

Kanato:

🏹  Let’s get one thing out of the way. If this Prospective Bride is physically his type, then consider the reader semi-done for. 

🏹  However, if that’s not the case… then reader might be partially saved. 

🏹  He wouldn’t show too much interest, especially if it’s left overs from his brothers. 

🏹  He isn’t that interested in sharing, however if Kanato were to, it’d be alongside Laito. 

🏹  But even then, Kanato still has that slight discomfort in the back of his mind. 

🏹  Point is, like most, he’d pester and annoy. But since Kanato is practically a fiend for attention (basically an attention whore), he’d make the reader's life difficult. 

🏹  This, along with his possessive tendencies, intertwined with his insecurities, makes him to be a perfect ticking time bomb. 

🏹  Kanato has had some encounters with vampire hunters, however not as many as you’d think. 

🏹  He seems to blend in pretty well with the humans, so he’s never really at risk of being found out by the church. 

🏹  But this new Bride… they’re different. 

🏹  Laito’s noticed and most likely let it slip in conversation with Kanato, leading Kanato to wonder if he should take what Laito says with a grain of salt. 

🏹  Either way, the cats out the bag. Reader is an Ex-Vampire Hunter. 

🏹  Kanato would find it amusing. Probably play around with the reader, but in all, he wouldn’t want anything else from them. 

🏹  More importantly, he’d feel somewhat inferior due to the knowledge of their killings, potentially taking it out on the reader. 

🏹  Kanato doesn’t like the idea of being overpowered, and having someone with the prior experience would make him at odds with himself. 

🏹  In terms of not trying to kill him, Kanato would, for his security and ease of mind, assume that the reader was weak or at least a coward.

Ayato:

🏹  If reader physically seems like his type from the get go, then you know Ayato’s hit the mark.

🏹  Either way, Ayato will still mess with the reader, it’s just his normal. 

🏹  He’d do his usual, prey on his unsuspecting victim and get the nourishment he craves, plus a little extra if he’s really in the mood. 

🏹  Ayato normally goes for all the Brides, and he does take a major thrill in seeing their fear, so don’t think that reader happens to be an exception to this. 

🏹  Ayato, when finding out would be shocked. 

🏹  Like he wouldn’t see it coming at all.

🏹  He’d probably be the only one out of the brothers who didn’t see anything weird as he was in his own little head.

🏹  He’d be the only one to want to test this vampire hunter thoroughly. 

🏹  He’d use it as an ego boost if anything.

🏹  Like randomly asking reader to spar, or hunt his prey. 

The entire ordeal just became much more thrilling for this hunter. 

🏹  Ayato also would use it as practice for himself, especially after that night out gone wrong with Laito.

🏹  He’d try his best to learn the ways vampire hunters are trained, and how he could avoid an incident again.

🏹  But he’s not weak. Remember that. He’s capable for himself, and can put up a mean fight. 

🏹  In terms of the reader attempting to kill him, or lack thereof… He’d be the one to question them the most on it. 

🏹  As in, he’d be really nosy, and truly want to figure out if they had any ulterior motives. 

🏹  Ayato can be calculated when he pleases, but it doesn’t always translate accordingly. 

Subaru:

🏹  Subaru normally keeps himself away from the Prospective Bride’s, only giving an appearance to hopefully make them leave and save themselves. 

🏹  To his dismay, they’re all the same. 

🏹  This doesn’t change with reader. 

🏹  However, he notices right off the bat that something’s wrong with this Bride. 

🏹  He doesn’t exactly know what that is, but it’s bugging him. 

🏹  Subaru tends to lurk and watch from the shadows. 

🏹  Like Laito, he’s there. Waiting. 

🏹  He might be cautious about this new Bride, considering how his defences will be even more heightened due to his trust issues. 

🏹  He’d isolate himself, and if he really needs to, he’d get blood. Other than that, expect to never see him, only once in a blue moon. 

🏹  Once reader’s alias is exposed, he’d thank himself for playing defensive. His gut instincts are never wrong, so he’d be at least at ease with that. 

🏹  He’d stay away, and make it a point to keep his walls up even more than he did. 

🏹  Subaru would see reader as a potential threat, and definitely do a lot to learn more about them and their past occupation. 

🏹  He’d be high;ly skeptical as to why the reader hadn’t taken the chance to run and flee, especially considering that they can fend for themselves. 

🏹  However, there's the flip side where Subaru would use this as an advantage to end his own life. 

🏹  It’s canon that he is borderline suicidal, and that he does seek it out, so I wouldn’t put it past him to bait the reader into killing him.

How is Aura’s relationship with the tmnt? Imagine her meeting my tiger shark mutant Cade lol! And Tyrone the snapping turtle. And they can kick Viktor the mutant walrus’s ass XD

Aura was rescued by the turtles from the medical research facility where she was mutated. She owes them her life (especially Leo).

In typical Leo fashion, he pulled a self sacrifice and got himself captured so his brothers could escape. He met Aura at the research facility. She initially mistook him for another human-turned-mutant test subject. They became allies and started to look out for each other (as much as they could, anyway). When his brothers arrived to save him, Leo made sure Aura escaped with them.

Before he learned her name, Leo referred to her in his head as 'Komori' - 'bat' in Japanese. Every now and then, he'll still call her Komori - he's the only one allowed to use that nickname for her. She asked him what 'turtle' was, so now when he calls her 'Komori' she'll call him 'Kame' back. It's always said with deep respect.

She's still getting to know his brothers. They can all get a bit too loud for her new super sensitive bat hearing (even Donnie, when he's tinkering with machines), so they're all still figuring out how to be around her, and vice versa.

An additional fact: Donnie specially designed her arm braces for her. The mutation process left her with chronic pain in her wrists and forearms, but with her wings in the way, she can't just wrap them up. Don made her a pair of braces that fit over the top of her wings and offer enough support to her arms and wrists to ease the pain, without cutting off the blood supply to her wings.

She'd love to meet Cade and Tyrone! Becoming a mutant has left her especially homesick for her former life and family, and she's struggling to cope with being a 'monster' now, so new friends are definitely appreciated!

"Isn't it delightful? Right, scoot inside now. There you go!

Crowley said pushing her into the building.

"Well, I should go finish up my research! Find some way to keep yourself busy here Yui. But don't let me catch you wandering the campus!"

And with that he left. Yui looked around the room. And my gosh was it horrible! The tables were knocked over. There were cobwebs around the rooms and tables. Some of the portraits were on the ground or crooked and in bad condition like the rest of this place. She knew that he said it would be a bit dirty and demolished considering it was an old building. But she didn't expect it to be THIS BAD! There wasn't even a clean place for her to sit down at!

"Oh, it's raining...? The weather was fine a few moments ago..."

she mumbled. It was pouring outside let's just hope lighting doesn't start. Before she could do anything else. Someone started screaming outside.

"GAWHHH! ITS POURING BAD OUT HERE!"

The creature said before running up to the doorway of the building. From a closer look it was the same creature Yui saw earlier! The cat!

"Eh? What are you doing in here!"

Before she could say anything else. She was interrupted. Again.

"As if I wouldn't just sneak back into campus the second, I escaped pyrin' eyes. You all got no idea what Grim the great is capable of!! I am not giving up on going to this school just because I got kicked out one time! And if you think otherwise, you don't know Grim!"

The creature called Grim said proudly. What's up with this school and the people having weird names! I mean either this "Grim" creature has that name as a nickname, or its parents messed up. And let's not forget the headmaster's name. What kind of name is Crowely? But I'm not here to judge others that's not the right thing!

"I'm curious... Why are you so determined to go to this school?"

Yui said with curiosity. I mean how good is this school for someone to break in just because they want to be a student?

"Isn't it obvious? I was born to do this! Born to become a magical prodigy! I'm going to become the greatest mage who ever lived!"

Grim said with such confidence.

"So, I've been waiting for the dark carriage to come and get me for ages and ages! And yet... HMPPH That dark mirror got no eye for talent! So, I had to take matters into my own hands and come here myself! Humans don't understand what mistake there making! Not letting me in is a great loss to the world!"

Grim said egotistically. Again, he remined her of someone. Ugh if only her memories just came back right now!

"C'mon, scoot over! I'm getting drenched over here!"

Grim said impatiently

"Oh, I'm sorry you can come in!"

Yui said. She didn't want him to get sick even though he was rude to her earlier. Besides a little company wouldn't hurt?

"Bawah! Another hole in the roof! These flaming ears are like my trademark y'know? I can't let them get doused!"

"Well good luck trying to not get them wet! The celling is practically covered with holes!"

Yui said. Why was he acting like it was her fault?

"I don't get why you can't just use magic on those holes? You could have fixed them in a jiff."

Grim said slightly confused before he spoke again seemingly having realized something.

"Oh yeah! You can't use magic AT ALL! Pfftt. Oh man your useless!"

Grim said mockingly. Why does he talk so rudely when he's just a talking cat. I mean anyone can technically just pick him up and fling him across the room!

"Hmph then why don't you do it!"

Yui said confidently.

"Heh? You want me to help YOU? Ha! You got the wrong idea. I'm just a stranger taking shelter from the rain. You're not the boss of me! Well... If you had cans of tuna to trade. That would be a different story since I don't work for free!"

Grim said

"Uhm ok... I'm going to find some buckets for these leaks since there getting bad."

Yui said before walking away into the hallway. Grim didn't follow her. I mean why would he? And gosh this place was creepy... I mean its abandoned so it's going to be creepy.

"What was that!"

Yui said. She had just heard something fall but there was nothing there! Next thing she knew someone or something was laughing.

"Yee hee hee... Bwa ha ha ha ha ha!!

"We haven't had visitors in ages!!!"

"Oh, I'm just itching for some new friends!"

From the sounds of it there was three of them. Crowley said this place was abandoned so no one should be here. So why is there three unknown people! But she finally got to see them. And it wasn't people it was GHOST!

"AHHHH!!"

Yui screamed as loud as she could. Her body should have gone into flight mode. Yet she just stood there screaming like an idiot.

"Hey, keep it down over there--AAAH GHOSTS! GHOOOOOST!!!"

Grim jumped up in the air once he saw them. The hair on his body standing.

"All the people who used to live here got scared and ran away"

The ghost said (Ghost B)

"We just want a new ghost to play with. What do you say buddy!?"

The other ghost said (Ghost C)

"HELP THERE GONNA KILL US!"

Yui yelled still standing there. Why weren't her legs moving! Why was she just frozen in fear. She wanted to run. To do anything to get her out of this mess.

"EEEEP!"

Grim also seemed scared and was shivering yet he still decided to speak up trying to hide the fact he was shivering.

"I'm a m-...mighty sor-... sorcerer... And I'm defiantly not afraid of some dumb ghost!"

"MYAHH"

Grim yelled unleashing his fire powers trying to burn or hurt the ghosts. Which is kind of dumb like how can you hurt the already dead?

"Over here"

The ghost said teasing him while dodging his attacks

"Grim you can't be aiming with your eyes closed you're going to set the whole dorm ablaze!"

Yui yelled. At this rate if he didn't stop the flames would go out of control.

"Shut up! I don't need any lip form you, human!"

Grim yelled back. Yui had an idea to get rid of these pesky ghosts.

"Hey Grim maybe the head mage will let you enroll if you get rid of them?"

Yui said.

(I'm pretty sure after this the fight thing happens in the game and I'm too lazy to write that and I just want to finish this part as quick as possible so let's just do a little time skip to after the fight)

"We got to go before we disappear for good!"

The three ghost said in unison. Before somehow vanishing into thin air

"H-huh did we win?"

Grim said exhaustingly

"You did amazing Grim!

Yui said bowing her head slightly.

"Aw geez I was scared out of my wits! Uhm, I mean... They didn't scare me one bit! It was just a walk in the park for a mage as great as me! What do you have to say ghosties? Ah ha Thats right NOTHING!"

Grim said with his head held high proudly. But someone footsteps could be heard and then the duo heard Crowley's voice.

"Good evening. In another gesture of my immense kindness! I have brought you dinner! Wait... Thats the creature we ejected out of campus for causing trouble. What is it doing here?!"

"I was takin care of your ghost problem, that's what. You're welcome, by the way!"

Grim replied

"What is the meaning of this Yui?"

But again, before she could reply Crowley started speaking. Again.

"But you know on the topic I do seem to recall that this dorm has a ghost problem. Thats why it was abandoned in fact the ghost scared away all the children. And you're saying that you two joined forces to drive them away?"

"Joined forces isn't how ii would describe it. More like I drove them away and the human just stood frozen and watched! And I only did it cause i wanted some tuna. Wait a minute I never got the tuna you promised!"

Grim argued

"Would you demonstrate how you fought the ghost Grim?"

(AGAIN, ANOTHER FIGHTIING THING SO IM GONNA SKIP THIS PART TO AFTER ITS FINISHED)

"...Well?"

Grim panted

"Incredible... I never saw anything like it! I must confess, my educator's intuition did sense something about you after the orientation Yui"

Crowley said

"What was it?'

Yui asked.

"I could tell you had a certain animal trainer-y beast master-ish quality to you. Oh yes. That said I *mumble mumble*"

Crowley said. Yui couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed, but she had to move on!

"Uhm headmaster...Would it be possible for Grim to say with me?"

Yui asked. Sure, Grim was a bit rude. But she wanted some sort of company in this strange world. I mean she doesn't really know anyone. So, company wouldn't hurt at all!

"WHAT? A monster, stay HERE?"

Crowley said

"Whoa did you just call me a MON-"

Grim got interrupted by Yui before he could finish.

"Please sir? I'd be quite lonely without company. And what if there's more ghost!?"

"Hmmm I suppose I cannot deny your plea. *Sigh* Very well he can stay."

Crowley said reluctantly

"Myah?! Really?"

Grim said happily

"Let me be clear! Under no circumstances would I admit anyone to Night Raven College who has not been selected by the dark mirror eclectically not a monster! Nor do I allow you, Yui, to freeload until you are able to return home"

Crowley said sternly with no room for negotiation

"Hrmph. I should have never gotten my hopes up..."

Grim said defeated.

"Now allow me to explain. It was the dark mirror that transported you here. Therefore, the school does bear some responsibility for your well-being. So, I will allow you to remain in this dorm free of charge! However, you will need to pay for your own food, clothing and incidentals"

Crowley said.

"Uhm but how will I get the money for that?"

Yui asked. I mean she doesn't have a job, nor does she have any experience so how will she get money for those niceties.

"As to how you will do so, penniless as you are... Ah. Ah ha. Yes, a fine plan..."

Crowley said. The last few words were just him talking to himself.

"...Sir what are you planning to make me do?"

Yui asked. She didn't like that tone of voice he had while he was talking to himself.

"You don't need to seem so alarmed Yui! I'm simply going to ask you to do a few odd jobs around campus. From what you've done here, Yui, I can tell you know your way around a broom. So, what do you two say about working together as a janitorial team? If you agree to that I shall make an expectation and allow you both to remain on campus I will also allow you to go to the library so that you may study and research ways to return home. How boundlessly charitable I am!"

Crowley said

"WHAT KIND OF DEAL IS THAT??! I wanted to wear one of those sweet uniforms and be a student not sweep up people junk!"

Grim said angrily

"If you're not happy with the offer I can have you thrown out again :) and I'm sure you don't want that?"

"Fine fine I'll do it!"

Grim said.

"I'll do it to..."

Yui said. I mean she needs the money otherwise she wouldn't be able to pay for stuff etc.

"WONDERFUL! Then I shall beseech you both... To work hard as the newest members of Night Raven College's janitorial staff!

Crowley said with enthusiasm as if he was in desperate need of a janitor for this school. Yui and Grim wouldn't really like this job but it will make do for the time being!

Never understood the hate towards Yui. Again the anime is a promo for the game and it did not do her character justice at all. The prequel and sequels for some of the mangas did her character justice. She’s a very kind and compassionate person, she’s HUMAN and grew up in a church, she’s a soft girl who doesn’t like violence so y’all can only imagine what this girl has to go thru meeting a bunch of bloody thirsty horny vampire boys, who have severe parental issues and a bunch of other abusive behavioral problems, but she is very patient with each and every brother in all the routes and I love that about her, she’d be a really good therapist too lmao. She’s an Angel, must be protected at all times. I won’t tolerate any Yui hate on this blog.

❤️‍🔥 AYATO SAKAMAKI ❤️‍🔥

Poster boy for the entire franchise. A lot of people find him to be annoying, he is annoying and we love his Aries self for that. While Ayato is a menace to society he’s got a good side to him as well and for the most part knows right from wrong, more than some of the fandom gives him credit for. I also really like his character design, he kinda looks like a mean little bat. They give him a lot of cute and playful moments with Yui and I think that’s beautiful especially in a dark themed game series, they have serious moments but also a lot of light hearted moments and I think that’s important to lighten up the mood sometimes.

👨‍🌾 YUMA MUKAMI👨‍🌾

First off, I absolutely love his character design, the messy long hair and he’s a giant too plus they gave him realistic human hair and eyes to show that he used to be human, maybe I’m thinking too deep on it idk. I absolutely love the identity crisis he had due to his amnesia and the connection with Shu, it brought that twin flame connection back, I love those best friend tropes a lot, his voice actor also is Mako from Free! So I have no choice but to Stan Yuma. Yuma also has a lot more self awareness then the rest of his adoptive brothers and thinks ahead due to his past experiences, he knows that he’s a vampire now but still has a garden for food and has sugar cubes with him at all times, he uses his past experiences and acknowledges that it happened then moves forward he doesn’t dwell on it too much.

🔪AZUSA MUKAMI🔪

He’s a lil creepy, and socially awkward at times but he’s just so relatable sometimes. He’s very soft spoken and he a lil wild with his pain tolerance and some of the out of pocket shit that he says, but I think he’s such a sweetheart, protect him at all costs as well, even his brothers know to protect him at all costs.

🎻 SHU SAKAMAKI 🎻

Shu will forever be my favorite DL boy, he doesn’t like doing anything but can do everything and do it perfectly too. He has severe ptsd, depression, and detachment issues. No you can’t fix him even Yui realizes this and just accepts him for who he is because that’s the only way it’ll work. He’s also hilarious without even trying to be, he says some mean shit at times but it’s so unhinged like damn Shu you don’t have the energy to eat, shower, wipe your ass but you got the energy to completely disrespect all your siblings with a few words. Also his beef with Reiji is somewhat familiar grounds especially if you have a sibling that is constantly irritating your soul. I always felt like I could relate to Shu the most due to him having a hard time getting close to people after losing his best friend, he can’t just get over it either, I don’t like when people would say “oh it happened a long time ago” yes it did but everyone heals at their own pace and it’s important to acknowledge that as well.
